Malachi Smyth
BIO
Malachi’s writing credits include GATEWAY 6 (Sentinel / Stigma) for director Tanel Toom, which topped the Brit List 2015, and is due to shoot mid 2021. BEACH BOYS is in active development with the Tohill brothers attached as directors. NOCTURNE, produced by Bona Fide, was made in 2015 directed by Konstantinos Frangopoulos. Malachi makes his feature directorial debut with THE SCORE, which he also wrote. His short films include the multi-award winning THE ARCHITECT and BIFA winner SCHOOL OF LIFE. His first short as director, LIGHT OF THE WORLD won the Special Jury Award at the Houston Worldfest.

"The Score is a tragic love story, a small-time heist movie, a thriller, a road movie, it’s all of these and more – with real time energy – and music! The songs are windows into the souls of the characters. They speak of another life, of dreams, suppressed feelings and inner turmoil. Johnny Flynn’s songs have a timeless, universal, earthy quality, a poetry of immense feeling. They can throb with menace or burst with passion."
